The Courtauld Institute of Art london

Worth a visit due to the absolute quality of the contents! Careful what is going on as they often seem to be lending pictures for other museum's benefits. Pleasant because their are no crowds normally as entrance is not free!

Great museum but unfortunately closed until 2020...

Great gallery but unfortunately, the building is closed for refurbishment until 2020, and the paintings have all gone on holiday.

The gallery is located at the grand heritage building called The Somerset House which is worth seeing on itself. The gallery inside though not big but the interiors have been well maintained. On top, there’re quite many wonderful modern & antique paintings being displayed.

A true jewel hoping the restoration will maintain its authenticity

So first time back since the re-opening and was a delight to walk back through the doors to the best gallery in London. Now, the collection is wonderful, the renovation work tastefully done and feels open and welcoming, unlike the attendants who come over to patronise you because your bag is slung over your back and not at the side. Seriously, can understand if a huge backpack but for a heavy, small leather bag that's not as wide as me is really strange. Please, treat us like adults, it's been a hard 20 months.

The restoration and reopening in Nov 2021 was much anticipated and does not disappoint. A brilliant reimagining of a historically important building ready for the new audiences of the 21st century. An essential part of the London art scene.

Absolutely stunning. All my fav artwork I studied in school were there, a small Musée d’Orsay in London!

Went there unfortunately I had the urgent need of a toilet. Gone straight to security received a right off attitude after asking for the closest toilet. "Most people come here for the culture but the closest toilet is closed" honestly I really appreciate the culture and I've been to some exhibitions yet my human needs as a man are above the cultural appreciation at times. Also in fact I went to ask for a toilet so I don't have to take a piss in a crowded place at a listed building. Very unreasonable response from the security.
