I had a consultation in January on the Push Doctor platform, I spoke to a doctor who said I had an ear infection and that as a result I was not in a position to sit my university exam. I agreed and mentioned that I would like a sick note to show my university. He agreed.
Fast forward to February, I submitted the document the doctor had sent to me to my university in January, I saw that it was a letter instead of the sick note I requested, I did not make much of this as I thought this was the new sick note format. Fast forward to February, the university refused my medical letter as it is not satisfactory proof of my illness and that I needed to show a sick note. I was confused as I was assured by the doctor that the document he was sending me was a sick note at the time.
I rang push doctor customer services who told me that they have no recording of the consultation and they cannot prove that I asked for a sick note and that I must have asked for a medical letter. This is incorrect and I am really angry with the whole situation. I asked if they could convert the medical letter in a sick note and they refused.
I am now helpless as the university said that the letter is useless and that I will fail my module as a result. I should have stuck to my GP and not trusted this new service. STAY AWAY!
