Absolutely terrible accommodation. Far too expensive for the lack of communal space and the constant noise of construction. The rooms are also far too warm for any kind of comfort. If you want a relatively alright temperature you have to leave the window open the tiny space it allows however all this does is make the construction noise unbearable. The rooms themselves are nice but that is all the accommodation is, a collection of rooms with no socialising with anyone outside of your flat (which is in itself a draw of luck as to who you’re with.) Now don’t get me wrong, the kitchen facilities are good and the en suite is very good too but it’s not worth living in an unsocial, claustrophobic tower block. For the price you pay, I surely wouldn’t recommend. I’m not even one to complain normally but I feel like I’ve got to warn people not to go here. Also the pictures on Newcastle University’s accommodation website are a little misleading, there is a single communal area in Block 3 which I’ve never even seen occupied. It is much nicer online than it is in person. The blocks are made from steel frames too so don’t expect any signal. Rant over, I’m very disappointed.

Decent accomadation, nice surrounding parks, gym on your doorstep, better than castle leazes in every way, what more can you ask for except maybe being a bit closer to the city centre
