I got referred after calling 111 They phoned back at 08:45 with an appointment for 10:00. 3 hours later, all finished, broken tooth removed, free of charge £3.60 for parking. Caring, considerate, professional. Excellent service.

**Absolutely Outstanding Service and Treatment (Children's Dept)** My son (age 8) was referred to the children's department for a decaying tooth, his SEN issues meant we were dubious about how he would cope with its removal at our normal dentist. We spoke to a dentist over the phone, who listened to the issues, gave advice and reassured us it wasn't urgent but that an appointment would be sent out. A few weeks later we received this, and when we rang to confirm our attendance, they warned me to bring something to entertain my son as we may be there a few hours. Parking was a touch tricky (leave plenty of time), but we were in and out- including two consultations and x-rays in just over an hour. I was actually saddened to hear that the reason it was so quick is because many don't attend. I'd just like to reassure those who may be hesitant that the staff are warm, friendly and professional and the experience was a very positive one for my son. We met with Dr Armugam, I was so impressed that she actually remembered that it was her who had spoken to us on the phone weeks earlier and remembered the specifics of the SEN needs of my son. She was brilliant at making him feel calm and answering his many, many questions and making him feel engaged and empowered in the choices of treatment available to him, in child friendly language. We all agreed next steps together (removal of the tooth with 'happy gas') and Finn even signed his own consent signature on the procedure form. He left with a smile, a Star Wars sticker and feeling really confident about returning.
