A Wood Idea is a local firm who have installed two floors for me, quickly, efficiently, and made the process stress free. Andy is very helpful and knowledgeable, and sought to get the work done for me to a very high standard. Pricing is fair and transparent. If you need hard wood flooring installed in Newcastle/surrounding area, this is the place to go.

Despite the demands of interrupted supply chains our doors, floors and staircase were all completed within a very reasonable timeframe. Concerns and questions were addressed quickly. The quality of the workmanship in relation to the staircase and doors was second to none. We were delighted with the end result. In summary, all our expectations were met (and my partner is very fussy and quite knowledgable about working with wood). We have since had a home office installed by another local company that also does staircases. On no fewer than three unsolicited occasions, when the directors and master joiner visited our home, all commented positively on our new staircase, stating that the overall product was of excellent quality and construction. We don't think you could ask for a better professional endorsement of a product, one we love as really having enhanced our home, and one we now realise was priced very, very competitively. There were absolutely no hidden extra costs, which in itself speaks to the integrity and professionalism of this company during very trying times when costs were soaring almost daily. We ordered some door handles online. They arrived and they look stunning. The quality is amazing - we're so happy with them. The delivery was a bit delayed but that was something beyond the company's control but the customer service was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and friendly .
