I have been with this surgery for 33 years and can say I’ve never had a bad experience. I have watched as it’s had to cope with the changes over the years. It has embraced these changes each time with a positive attitude and with consideration for there patients. They keep the surgery up to date with technology, it is always clean and well decorated. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone...

I am well impressed with help I received from staff at scotstown medical group. Phoned at 0840 am spoke to receptionist and explained what I need help with . They didn’t have an appointment on the day but my case wasn’t emergency all tho I asked for dr’s advice. 10 mins later I received call from dr Forbes with in depth explanation and advice on further treatment, prescription and also blood tests arranged for 0920 on the same morning !!! 40 mins from initial call! All staff ( receptionist , doctor and nurse) were very helpful , professional and kind. I am nurse myself and I know how difficult it gets sometimes to provide the best service you possibly can! Well done Scotstown Medical Group! Keep up the good work !

Receptionists are pushy to try and ask what the problem is when it is personal. When you eventually get through to a doctor 9 times out of 10 the doctor wont even ask you to come in to see what the problem is and just give you what they think could help you. Very high possible mis diognosis which is extreamly dangerous the way they are doing it because they just want to fob you off. If you can get a new doctors I would advise it. If you do get an appointment with them the doctors do listen when you are there so can't fault that its just wrong how they dont even want to see you properly to give you the correct medical care. I understand they are busy but they need to do their job properly what could sound like a cold or flu on the phone could be something a lot worse in person.

Every single time I call I can never get through on the phone to speak to someone as phonelines are full for hours on end or at best I'm 6th in the queue. Finally created a telephone appointment with allocated time slot, they called 4 hours later when I was busy, message left to call back so I call the surgery again. Can't get through! Please either reduce the amount patients you can take on or get more phones for reception.
