Bucksburn Medical Practice aberdeen

complaining on my own and behalf of a close friend. the doctors here should NOT be allowed to treat people. do not use this doctors as you will not get the right help from them. they will not listen to you. SWIM had an appointment after trying to overdose and what he took made him shake and the doctors called him a coward and that he was abusing drugs when in fact it was due to a suicide. i have also had a sister with a broken pacemaker get told there is nothing wrong with her and she is just lazy. SWIM’s life could’ve been lost and the doctors here are making assumptions and not listening. they NEED to be stripped of their ability to treat patients. i have had countless issues with multiple doctors who work here. i STRONGLY urge you to try find another GP to go to and get the proper and professional help we deserve. I am disgusted and embarrassed.

Took two weeks to get a referral to clean out ears as they don't have the equipment themselves. Had to phone 8 times back and forth and eventually found out they never put the referral through after all. If something this simple and minor is already so difficult to arrange, I'm afraid for more serious cases that require treatment.

I have to comment on how good the staff are here. The receptionists are the most helpful lovely staff I have ever known at a doctors surgery. The doctors are professional and helpful.

Dr McMann is a fantastic Doctor she has been our family doctor for the past 8 years! All other staff ate great too👍

I have been using this Med Practice for around 10 years. Quality of the care used to be good but its getting worse day by day especially from the Locum doctors. Its really hard to get an appointment and you would be lucky if you get it with Dr McMann. Rest of the Locum Doctors in my experience are there just to put things off for another day. Reception staff & nurses are always friendly and helpful.

Great staff, reception, doctors and locum doctors in my experience. Almost always managed to get an appointment the same day or day after. Deeply regretting moving practice to BoD as my new surgery is a shambles.

The receptionist working there is so unhelpful and unpleasant, hang up the phone without saying bye but it is not just good manner she doesn't have but also lack of understanding. Never had to deal with such an unpleasant person. Someone like her should not work with people and for people... shame I don't know her name

I went to this practice and Dr McMann was my Doctor she was a great doctor to the family very loyal and kind I give thanks to her as I was going through a hard time and thanks to her I came out a better person thanks to Dr Pamela McMann
