Only one doctor in here who is any good. Other than the locums who I would not criticise as they are in and out and trying their best. Dr Claire Giles who took over the practice from her father is rude, lacks empathy and will not give a prescription for anything as she is more concerned about money. Dr McHugh is a credit to the surgery, it is no wonder you wait a month to get an appointment with him. He is a fantastic, caring and highly intelligent GP who takes the time and listens to patients. Dr Giles could learn a thing or two from him. This review is written via a friends account to remain anonymous.

I have to say, in defence of Springfield Medical Centre, we have on the whole found them very caring and helpful. Yes its not perfect and things dont always run smoothly or the way we want it to, I've been frustrated with them myself a few times. But when we really needed them they have stepped up to the plate. Ok the time to wait for an appointment is long but it's the same everywhere and we do have the option of a fit in appt. if we really need to be seen. The health service is atrocious, we all know that, especially mental health provision which can take weeks or months to respond. That is not the fault of our doctors and nurses who, generally do a great job under difficult circumstances.

it was difficult to get through to anyone before Covid - now its impossible! Phones on constant engaged tone. unacceptably poor service to Patients - What about Patient Safety? There needs to be a system whereby patients can book a call back from a gp - even if it is next week! - giving one star because once you get to gp, I have always found them more then helpful

Done a stand in clinic today at the surgery . Found the Lady Doctor who was covering the stand ins , my first time with the lady, I explained about the severity of the asthma attack ,she treated me with thoughtfulness and expertise , she also explained precisely what way I should be taken the inhalers and medication she prescribed. Thank you again as I find all your practitioners very helpful.
