Springvale Medical Practice belfast

No option to give this practice zero, unsure of the reception staff which I'm sure are probably the best part of the surgery, but Dr Leevy needs to be ashamed of himself, bullying a young girl, new patient, who was in extreme pain because of a back injury, caused at work BTW, on diff pain killers and anti depressants, took her off them all cold turkey, which is the worst thing for any Dr to do and all doctors would not do this, except him, she is the most amazing person, big complaint on its way to the medical board from many people because of this

The doctors are very friendly but the staff at the front desk are very rude and have very little people skills. They now have a large glass barrier separating them from patients. It doesn't surprise me that people could get angry at them. Yet if they had just a more pleasant disposition people wouldn't get angry at them. Overall good doctors but bad administration staff.

It's great that I can order my repeat percipient s on line Because I'm deaf an don't like ringing for them.

You ring at 8.30am to ask for a call back that day, for my husband on 3 occasions he doesn't receive a call back from any doctor. Yesterday he was told that Today a doctor would ring to speak about his medication but rang at 5 to ask what time should he be expecting this call back and reception told him the doctor was away home. Lovely! A certain doctor he has spoke to a few times on the phone but has never met my husband, continues to reduce his pain relief with out even consulting him about it. Not even an appointment to get him down for a check up to see if this is OK to do. DISGRACEFUL!! Now my husband is seriously unwell because of this and no1 will give him the call back that he needs! Should be ashamed of yourself.

Great GP surgery. Reception staff and Dr Leavy in particular. She always goes above and beyond

Great doctors, but front off desk have been to a strange charm school. Today I stood with others on the pavement with the practice door shut. A notice said ,baby clinic cancelled today, fair enough. Nothing to say surgery cancelled. About 10 people including 2 people in their 80s stood for about 20 minutes no one came to the door there was no notices. The car park was full of staff cars. I noticed ,through the window one member of staff coming down the stairs She cud not have missed the crowd. Only because one person went into the next door chemist and was told they’re not opening I might still be there. Despite a new texting system this practice is draconian. Advice .. get training maybe be a little diversity in recruitment, people from round the corner aren’t always best. In the middle of these very trying circumstances keeping people in their 80s on a cold pavement while u discuss tactics is so unfair and very unprofessional

Doctors are very nice, helpful and friendly.
