Bloody awful!!! Simple shower item needed. First member of staff could barely give me the time of day so went to customer service where the lady could barely speak/understand English! OK we need foreign workers but at the "coal face" you need ENGLISH. To finish, I sort of found something like I wanted on the floor without any packaging! I just wanted a part of the item & I brought my broken one with me. The check out lady was very helpful and took time to ascertain the price-OMG- £10.50 for piece of plastic tat- half of which I didn't need. I'll be in touch with the manager during the week for sure!

LOL Homebase, where to start? I like to think of it as B&Q with an identity crisis. You are more likely to come out with some scatter cushions than the 3x20mm plasterboard screws you went in for, but its all part of the charm. Roam the deserted aisles like its a DIY savanna- not densely populated, but the odd surprise. Oh look, a double socket faceplate in chrome, and only 29 quid too. But wait! back boxes for the same , metal with proper punch outs and decent earthing terminal, 35p? I think of them as a surprise reward placed by staff in the full knowledge their official mission to sell plasticy "rattan" recliners with scratchier (is that a word?) plastic seat cushions to the masses is a bust. And so, for your perseverance, you are rewarded randomly. By whatever trinket the "in stock gods" decree today. As the light switch you came in for is out of stock. The metal hanger it sat on stands proud like a - well you can imagine- its end fecund with the largely hypothetical price sticker. Which tells you if it were in stock what toll the ferrywoman who cant find the barcode on anything I buy demands this trip... Good paint mixing service mind you....

Bought a Christmas Tree. Is pretty. I love it. My partner loves it. My cat loves it. I lost my cat. Found myself looking around the whole house for the last hour. She was just laying underneath. So the tree gives cats a +99 skill points to stealth. Bet u can’t point the cat in the pic.

I found that the assistance from staff was so helpful and would go that extra step. I was content to get the colour testers that I wanted and LED light bulbs. I noticed that there was a good choice in lighting.

Excellent DIY store. Since B&Q moved from Boucher Homebase have really stepped up. They have almost everything you need and it's great to see all the same staff (especially through Covid) who are really friendly. I had a minor issue and the manager sorted it straight away. Overall excellent experience.

Went in to buy something but couldn't find it so I looked for staff to ask but couldn't find anyone so I left. On they way out I noticed a long line of customers queueing up at the only till open which is typical of this store. Also, unlike a traditional hardware shop, you can't buy single items of smaller goods. Almost everything is in overpriced packs of multiple items which is a huge waste if you only need one.
