This surgery is an absolute joke. It's impossible to get through to the receptionists, first to be met with cheesy music and put on hold for 10 mins, then to have an irritating message saying there are no available agents, and then getting cut off! Are you serious?! I've literally tried calling 30 times this afternoon, and still haven't spoken to an actual human. Absolutely shameful.

True it can take a while to get an appointment if you ring at 8am but that's more an issue with the surgeries popularity than the quality of the practice. Doctor's in my experience are very good which is what matters at the end of the day. It also has a decent online system for non urgent appointments which you can usually get within 2 weeks.

When I needed to book an appointment in advance due to my job, the earliest appointment date was in 13 days time. On top of this, the last time I was there I was too ill to work so I showed up in the morning. I had a really bad fever and felt like I was going to faint and the receptionist yelled at me "I've already told you, you must wait in the corridor and not the reception!", even though I had just arrived in the building. I told her that I felt like I was going to faint, I just wanted to sit down for a few minutes just to stop myself from passing out, she insisted I get up and wait in the corridor. I asked if I could take a chair with me to the corridor while waiting and she said "no, you'll have to sit on the floor", which I ended up having to do. I can understand why the word " joke " is one of the most commonly occurring words when describing this place.

Never had a bad experience since registering here, receptionists are always lovely. Can get an appointment same day majority of the time as long as you call at a respectably early time. Great service and I'm glad to be with Bolton General Practice.

This is the worst place I have ever seen. I am waiting for a telephone visit for 2 weeks with painful feet. When the doctor finally rings, he hangs up after two beeps, so I have a missed call. I call the reception back immediately and I hear that the GP will not call me today until tomorrow morning. I wait the next day and GP doesn't call, I call the reception, I hear the doctor is away today and he will call me the next morning. I'm just waiting for that call, it's 11am no one has called yet. Very irresponsible behavior, people who are supposed to help work for the NHS and they only make it difficult. Reception service without empathy is not nice. Doctors hide from patients. And that's what my taxes and hard work go for. Shame, you should be ashamed in front of people.
