I'm an architect and based on my experience of using this company for my own house, I will not be using them in any future projects. When the doors were delivered, one had been made differently to the agreed drawings. The first fitting was careless. The company delayed in finding fitters to address the problems and we were left with an incomplete installation for four weeks, delaying our project and causing us additional costs. Responsibility was shirked by their management and our claim for compensation was denied. They insist on full payment before delivery so customers are left with no way to demand satisfactory service.

My doors were fitted when the company first started. They are made from wood oroko I think. We have been away for a few years and returned back to the UK in July this year to find that my doors neededa refurb. I met with the main man and arranged for a fitter to come and inspect to see if they could be saved.After a couple of hours my doors have been rehinged resealed and adjusted. Perfect. Very professional and tidy. Hopefully now we can enjoy an extended patio and hopefully a good summer.Thanks FSD

Never get anywhere with this company. Met Andrew Brame at the Swindon Self Build Centre with regards flush bi-folds. After many contacts by email and phone between myself and our project manager, all I got was excuses on delays for a quote on a 15-20k contract, never got anything back. Maybe only only interested in big money jobs. Can't recommend I'm afraid.

Had our bi-fold doors for a couple of years, one pane developed an issue. Called Folding Sliding Door Co to report, spoke with Janet in Customer Services who was very helpful and didn't make you feel like an 'inconvenience'. New glazing ordered, delivered and fitted more or less within a week. Removed glazing collected without any hassle for us, very pleased with how it was all resolved and dealt with. Thank you Janet!

Don't buy the French Doors!! We've just had a really poor experience with this company, apart from the engineers that installed it initially and then helped fix all the issues - they were really nice and couldn't do enough to help. Once installed we had 4 issues 1) Glass panel was scratched 2) Pillar was damaged 3) Top locking bolt too stiff 4) Excess movement in the door when closed. We asked a number of times to make sure the engineers were aware of all the faults before coming back so they could fix it all in one go. They fixed the first 3 faults but were not made aware of the excess movement so couldn't fix that. I was told on the phone that the excess movement is standard, there was a 3mm gap where the locking bolt fits into the bottom track making the doors excessively move when closed which after paying over £1700 you wouldn't expect (I understand there needs to be some movements otherwise the lock wouldn't fit into the track but not as much as it did!) They explained that they could fit a metal piece underneath the track to stop the excess movement. This seemed a reasonable solution and they reassured me the metal fixing would fit underneath the track not on top. They were booked in to come a couple of weeks later but never turned up. Apparently it was booked with the installation director who doesn't do appointments. So I had to re-book for 2 weeks later and take another day off work which delayed it even more. They sent me the metal fixings in the post and after looking at them I was concerned that the fixing would go on top of the track not underneath like they explained. I was reassured by them that it was meant for underneath and that it wouldn't effect the aesthetic look of the track. I asked for this to be put in email so when the engineers do arrive if there was any dispute I could show them the email. They checked and confirmed it would fit on top!! Very disappointing! It seems as though they use the same track as they do for bi-fold doors which is why is causes this excess movement. If this company knows there is an issue with the French doors they should make customers aware of it and also include the metal fixing as standard so people are aware of what the finished product will look like. A poorly designed product that they are clearly cutting corners on. Overall a very stressful and really disappointing experience and suggest to avoid at all costs! This is no reflection of the installation guys, they were brilliant and couldn't do enough to help.

This company has a lot of poor reviews about shocking after sales service and here’s another story. I had bifold doors from them and ordered the concealed blinds version at a much higher cost. When the doors arrived the blinds didn’t close properly so when you shut them and looked in from the outside you could see right inside the house. After complaining and waiting for months they delivered 5 new doors with exactly the same problem. When I spoke to the head of customer service she blamed the manufacturer in Italy. I asked why they didn’t check them before they gave the 2nd set of faulty doors to the installers and waisted their day bringing them half way across the country for nothing. They clearly didn’t even check the replacements properly before sending them out. The third set of doors came out months later after that and out of those 5 we got 4 reasonable ones and one of the original to finally get some security and privacy. When they installed them the outside patio area wasn’t tiled. It took us a couple of months to complete the outside. The outside floor area is lower than the inside but when we try to open the doors they won’t open because they weren’t installed properly. The frame is tilting which means the doors hit the floor when you try to open them. They said don’t worry they are under warranty we will help you and sort this out. I’ve spoken to them multiple times asking when are you coming and it’s the same story “we’re very busy and we will schedule a visit as soon as we can” I’ve been chasing them for over a month now and sendings emails and still not a peep out of them. They really are shocking to think it’s ok to leave customers who have trusted them hanging in the breeze and ignoring them. They are very keen to take your money for an order but customer / after sales service is non existent. You can’t even escalate it senior management as they aren’t interested in talking to you either. Now we have doors we can’t even open. Still waiting.

I have had some doors from this company installed for couple of weeks now. I was initially hesitant about the price but after a few weeks of them being in you can really see where the money go’s. smooth operation and easy to use would recommend.

I have a 3 panel set of doors on my garden office. This must be one of the best purchases I have ever made, it really brings nature to my door! Recently I have been working from home and I never want to go back to the office. Great sales experience, great installers and great service. Not a bad word to say about the whole experience!

I bought my doors 10 years ago so the test of time enables me to write an accurate review. First of all, I love my bi-fold doors, they transform my home. Last year, two of three panels failed and condensation got inside the glass and FSD company replaced the panels free of charge whilst I paid a service charge to have them installed as my carpenter originally fitted them. I was happy with this outcome and the guys who came to fit the panels were really nice. Last week the handle broke so I phoned FSD company to obtain a replacement and because I had the service last year, the lady said she would post out a handle to me free of charge - what a lovely surprise that was. To summarise: FSD Co. answered the phone immediately in this pandemic unlike all other companies I have tried to contact. The service I have received has been great and they have always assisted me efficiently. I don't tend to write reviews but one or two left by others for this company were obviously not true and so thought I would make an exception and write about my good experience as this company deserves it.
