Avoid at all costs!! Injury to ankle that was seen and xrayed at a minor injuries clinic 5 days ago, ( no break but cannot.weight bare). I was advised to use my own GP.for.pain relief should.the pain get worse of not ease with over the counter medications. I called today only to be told I have to be seen by the GP first, so I explained I cannot weight bare or drive or move very far at all and in that case requested a home visit if I have to be seen. I've been refused a home visit as I'm not PERMANENTLY house bound, I've been refused a prescription unless I some how get to the GP to be assessed even though he has said he can see my xray and notes from the other day, and if I cant get in his advice was to go later to A&E. So that goes to show why A&E is so clogged up.with patients that shouldnt be there because a GP is giving advice for you to go there in order to be simply given pain relief!! Disgusting service. I believed home.visits where for anyone who cannot with valid reason be physically able to attend a clinic. Clearly they are reserved for very specific people and discriminates against the rest of us who are on very rare occasions in high physical pain and unable to walk

This has been my Drs for about 6 years now, I cant fault them, they are above and beyond anything i could ask or hope for a surgery to be, for the first time I have felt able to book important (and sometimes lifesaving) appointments as I know they are always respectful and I will be treated with dignity and understanding. I am writing this review now following a phone consultation with Dr Darwish, I am still in shock with how utterly brilliant she was, I have been living with a condition most of my adult life and as it is fairly newly discovered, I havent felt able to gain much in the way of understanding regarding treatment and accepted it is still being researched. This Dr was so up to date with even this current research that she was able to give me an in depth and achievable treatment plan after only one appointment, along side resources to study myself. I dont normally write reviews like this but I felt I had to give this surgery some credit! I finally feel safe knowing my health is well looked after and genuinely cared for by Burbrane Haxby group Hull ! Thankyou so much !!!

This has been my family practice for 50 years going back to the Dr Woods and Dr Redfern era. After being away from the area for 20 years my parents were having some serious medical issues. We have had nothing but the most excellent and compassionate service including home visits by Dr Ahmed - he cannot have provided a better service for the family during a difficult time. We even had Dr Barker visit at 3am. Great service when it matters. Thank you.

I once booked a telephone consultation to discuss my medications, I was waiting a whole day and nobody called me back, I had to go there physically to complain and the staff blamed covid for their mistake. The women at the call center are rude and unprofessional. One of their Asian male doctors has a language problem and is transphobic, he kept calling me "she" even though I identify as "male", he got all of my prescriptions wrong and never listened to any of my problems, it was like giving directions to the Chuckle Brothers. This surgery gives me anxiety and makes me depressed. Is it that hard to keep a patient happy and healthy?

Mel Bradshaw was fantastic; she recommended the surgery when I had a problem with my old practice and she helped me register with the surgery which I thought I might have had a problem with since I had a surname change but didn’t have any ID in that new name yet. She also talked me though how to access the surgery online and through the app. Very helpful and made me feel valued and cared for. Thank you very much.
