I tried unsuccessfully to book an appointment by telephone and was told bookings could only be booked on the automated system, which I had great difficulty in doing so went along to the Drayton surgery to be told by the receptionist that she could not book me an appointment, I would have to do it on the automated system, so returned home to try, try and try again, eventually had an appointment for the next day with Wootton Street but must have pressed the incorrect button to confirm so was given an appointment for September. I telephoned the Wootton Street surgery and the very helpful receptionist confirmed that the next day was still available so booked me in!!!!! I am 84 years old but to my mind still have my faculties. Having paid a stamp from the age of 15 to 61 I feel very let down by the whole system. I must praise the doctor's and nurses on their difficult task but please spare a thought for the oldies who were not brought up with technology of today
