What a ridiculous way of getting an appointment, I don't understand why you can't phone or call in to make an appointment for later that week or next week but instead have to phone on the day, redial redial redial redial 160 redials later & still couldn't get through if you're lucky enough to get through for the doctor to then phone back to make an appointment it really doesn't make sense it's so long winded & who has the time to sit ringing & ringing for an hour to then wait for a call back, this system needs looking at to make it easier to get an appointment, does anyone at the centre read these reviews or don't they care?

Two stars as Some of the doctors are lovely However some are very rude and dismissive. Long waiting times even when it’s not busy. One receptionist I spoke to was exceptionally rude. Also can never get through between 8:30-9:30 for a same day appointment. Once rang at 10 for a call back from the doctor but that never happened.

Having moved from sloan last year, I have found Woodseats brilliant. Like the triage system of getting to speak to doctor when ring up. The only improvement needed is some kind of on hold system as can end up dialling over 100times and getting the busy tone, it would be easier if could be put in a long que than that. However that is my only criticism. All the doctors have been fab. I recently managed to ring at lunchtime having found I was getting mastitis, a doctor ring me back within 30 mins and told me to come down right away and saw me within another 30 mins. She was a really compassionate and caring doctor, as are all the doctors I have seen at Woodseats so far.

I visited this morning with my husband the doctor was brilliant.. I've stayed away because of a rude uncaring comment from one doctor.. & was dreading today.. But got reassured & good treatment. If only you could see the same doctor when you really need to.

Like another review on here, I would also rate this practice 0 if I could. It would take me an essay to write down all the bad things about this practice. Firstly, the receptionist thinks they can give medical advice. I wasted my time going to the pharmacy due to the advice of the receptionist here. The pharmacist was appalled that the practice allowed a non medical member of staff to give such advice. Secondly, if you have an investigation going on into a condition, they don’t get back to you unless you contact them and push them. I ended up paying private to see a specialist because I was sick of trying to get a response form my actual GP practice. They also don’t like going out of their way at all to help their parents. Simple requests feel like you are asking them the earth and they just can’t be arsed. Fortunately, we are moving house shortly so I won’t have to use this practice anymore. I have no faith in them whatsoever with my healthcare.

This is a great practice all round. Great staff, and helpful Doctors. Yes, they are busy, and yes, you have to wait a while to get through to them, but I have always been seen on the same day. Excellent service.

I'm not a patient with Woodseats medical centre but a support worker with a gentleman with extreme anxiety I recently took my service user to an appointment and he became very agitated I asked the receptionist if we could move to a quiet area she promptly found us a quiet space to sit and the Dr saw us Immediately, many thanks for this kindness and your understanding . I have found all the staff to be very helpful and efficient .

I find this Dr's surgery very stressful. You're forced to ring up in the morning to get an appointment. When you ring, the queue is very long, last time I was number 45 in the queue! Then if you're lucky to get a same day telephone appt, you have to wait by your phone all day for them to ring so you can't go out or do anything in case you miss their call. A crazy, stressful and extremely inconvenient system. Recently the Dr prescribed me with an out of stock medication. When I rang to change it, the unhelpful and patronising receptionist outright refused to put me down for a Dr's call back ALL WEEK and today if I'm lucky apparently a pharmacist will ring me to get a new prescription. The receptionist deemed my medical need not important enough, well it sure is important to me. Horrendously frustrating and frightening to be denied an appointment by a non medically trained receptionist. The worst thing is how they blame the patients for the fact that they don't have enough doctors. It's not our fault if you are over subscribed with patients.
