Excellent Doctors here, lovely, new and very well kept modern surgery. Dr Susan Halfpenny is an absolutely wonderful doctor here. I can definately recommend this surgery. Parking usually available and there is alternative parking across the road if it is really busy. A large well stocked chemist is joined to this surgery.

Cannot complain about any of the staff at this practice. Doctors are all well qualified and friendly, maintaining a close contact with patients who have long term problems. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, but of course, they are often under a huge amount of pressure, so make allowances. Why not 5 stars? Well I do object to having to declare whether I am English or Polish when I check in!

I have been with this surgery quite a few years now. I find it on the whole to be excellent. The reception staff are mostly friendly (just 1 exception really) and helpful. My GP is excellent and the nurse practitioners are all great as well. The biggest issues are the parking problems and the long wait to get a normal appointment but in an emergency I have always been able to get an appointment so that is excellent service as well. This is one of the better Doctors surgeries I have been with and I recommend them strongly.

Finding a good GP is extremely important for me as I have an array of disorders and problems, including those with mental health I saw their reviews were quite bad online so I was a little worried but saw many parallels between them and my old one in London who were incredible. I’ve had 2 appointments including the checkup so far. They were 5 minutes late to see me on the check up and on time for the GP appointment with Dr Robinson (who is incredibly nice and respectful of your problem). Something even my old GP couldn’t do! Normally I don’t mind appointments being late because at least you know they’re looking into the patients matters thoroughly instead of brushing them off to see the next patient. The staff were incredibly friendly and the check in machine was great. I’ve never seen them before but using it was very simple and it even told you your approximate wait time. Where the building is pretty new the place is rather large and extremely clean and well kept, which really adds some reassurance that you will not be mistreated. There’s a pharmacy right next door too which is always handy. My only minor complaint is that there can be a 2-3 week gap between when you book an appointment and when it actually is, however if it's urgent you re seen much quicker. Most of the complaints I've seen have mentioned rude staff but I haven't noticed this myself (then again I'm from London where most people prevent talking to each other as much as humanly possible) I think the most important thing was that the staff treat all problems well and include you in conversations about treatment. Whilst doing this they are also very understanding and do listen to what you have to say.

COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE & HUGE EGO. Called up to arrange a callback from a doctor for our 1 year old son, as we were advised to do from our 111 call. My partner works as a child protection social worker, and is unable to take personal calls when she is on visits. I explained this to the receptionist and said I must be called back on MY NUMBER. My partner text me from work saying she had 2 missed calls from the doctors surgery and asked me to call. When I did, they told me that because the doctor had called me twice, they would not be contacting us again for 24 hours. It was their mistake, and our 1 year old is sick enough for fair cause for concern. They begrudgingly said the doctor would call me, which I missed due to my screaming son. I had an extremely blunt and rude email from Dr Hamid saying he had “called three times now” and does not think he will be calling again. Absolutely disgusting. Will be looking for a new GP & taking this as high as it needs to go.

The manager ordered her staff to refuse to give me the GMC reference number of my doctor. This is in breach of the rules and regulations of the good medical handbook, And the GMC. I TELEPHONED STONEHAM LANE SURGERY ON 09 /JUNE /2021. 1st request, receptionist said she was not allowed to give out the GMC reference number for my doctor. I checked with the GMC, and they advised me that the surgery were duty bound to supply me with the information about my doctors, GMC REFERENCE NUMBER. 2nd request, receptionist refused again to tell me the GMC reference of my doctor. I asked her to transfer my call to the surgery manager. She did. 55 minutes later I hung up. With out the manager answering my call or request. 3rd request, I waited 10 minutes, and called the surgery again.and Asked the receptionist for the GMC NUMBER of my doctor, she refused again. I asked to speak to the surgery manager, receptionist said she is at lunch. I ended the call. STONEHAM LANE SURGERY is still refusing to inform me of my doctors, GMC REFERENCE NUMBER. A deliberate choice to break the GMC rules and regulations. And a deliberate choice to continue to ignore the GMC, and its handbook of rules and regulations.

Awful treatment and communication! Incompetent receptionist who is dangerous and should not work there as she is putting patients health and lives at risk! Do not use unless you want extremely poor outcomes that have led to disability!

A very good surgery with caring staff who work very hard under what must be testing circumstances. It is sometimes difficult to get an appointment with the GP of your choice but there is always another GP available to help. I’ve been quite poorly recently and the various GPs and nurses and reception staff could not have been more helpful. A1!
