I’ve been with this doctors surgery for about 30 years boy and man . And I can’t remember the last time I got an appointment. Always over the phone it’s a absolute joke. Been ill now for over 3 weeks and still no joy .

I don't often visit doctor. Yesterday as I picked up my son from nursery though, he had a sore eye and had to take him to the doctor and prescribe him eye drops. I walked in without appointment as am emergency, the receptionist(I apologise but due to my stress I forgot your name) , found me immediately an appointment asap as they had cancellation, I was seem by a really nice doctor, explaining to me the situation and reassuring me that was nothing to worry about, giving me my prescription. Thank you for making my already stressful evening, a little bit more stress free. I noticed all bad reviews so I wanted to share my experience, because i think good things need to be heard and appreciated too.

The appointment booking system is appalling. You cannot book any day in advance. You have to book a week in advance for the only the day you make the booking. When you do call in after a long wait, the appointments are all gone!

After losing a baby and trying to get a follow up appointment (as per hospital advice) I am 6 weeks post miscarriage and STILL not able to get an appointment. Calling everyday at the times stated only to be cut off when they answer or be told "Sorry there is nothing available" I'm sorry but that just is not acceptable. I very rarely visit the Doctors and use the service sparingly but to always be told there IS NO APPOINTMENTS is something that needs looking at. Considering every time I have been there (be it GP or Midwife) the surgery is empty!! As of today it marks 2 weeks of trying to get an appointment and all they could offer me was an appointment at the end of the month with a Dr I am unfamiliar with. In the 6 years I have been with this surgery I have not ONCE seen my own named GP!? This clearly says there is something wrong with the system. To see a female Dr is like trying to find a diamond in the ruff. Now the Dr's I do see I absolutely love and they have always been wonderful. The appointment system itself and the reception staff are a real issue for this surgery.

I put in a prescription and they didn't manage to even process it to the pharmacy. they agreed it was mistake and didn't know how it happened, so they processed it through again. It's run on tax payers money, they get their money either way, so patents are merely a liability so they don't care if bad service or incompetent.

The absolute worst doctors surgery, avoid at all costs. Rude and threatening reception staff, repeat prescriptions cancelled with no notice then a 18 day wait for an appointment, no appointments available at convenient times for working people. Go elsewhere if you would like to be treated with respect, compassion or like a human being.
