Love this place. The staff are so helpful and friendly, and where would we be in life if we didn't have a hospital that provides health services for everyone and are bloody good at what they do.

Large hospital, can be a bit hard to find a place you are looking for even though you have a map. There is a cafeteria inside an several shops where you can buy food and other products. The staff is very polite and will always help if you are lost or looking for for something.

I have recently had the unwelcome pleasure of having to visit Southampton General Hospital during the month of July 2019. Whilst the hospital seems to be increasing year by year with lots of new buildings, the parking seems to be as it has always been a nightmare! And of course the high-level parking charges is always a hindrance for those who may be undergoing long-term treatments, as well as being an unnecessary hindrance to those who are visiting long-term patients at the hospital. On a more positive note, the main entrance to the General Hospital has now changed beyond all recognition, after the completion of its recent refurbishment. The hospital now houses just inside the main entrance a new coffee bar a selection of various food outlets and a Marks and Spencer's outlet where you are able to buy newspapers, drinks, fresh sandwiches, and various other items.

Had spinal surgery on 11/09/19. Consultations, spinal seminar, the pre op support and care on the day of the operation and after operation care were all of a high standard. The staff in the Spinal Ward were so kind, caring, attentive and respectful as well as adding appropriate humour and normality to the whole situation. They gave me the confidence to trust in my own ability to get better and they looked after me 24/7 for the four days I was in there. The care continued after I left with follow up telephone conversation and a phone number to contact a spinal specialist if needed. The only downside was having four cancelled operation dates but that's the reality of the NHS. I would recommend this hospital 100%

Incredible service and patient care given to me whilst staying on the F4 spinal ward. After receiving emergency spinal surgery the care could not have been better. All of the staff were very accommodating and attentive. Meals were fantastic. Great choice and plenty of options with 24 hour food service if required. But a special shout out and we'll done to my carer Monica for being so incredibly kind not just to myself but to all of the patients. She came on to shift everyday with the most incredible cheerfulness. Always willing to help and spoke to everyone with dignity and respect. She's one in a million. Thank you. 😊

I haven't been to the Princess Anne for around 3 yrs and had forgotten just what a lovely, reassuring place it is. There is something soothing for very frayed nerves to be surrounded by other women all kind and pleasant, all sympathetic to female health worries. Girl power at it's best! Brilliant!

My daughter was born just over a month ago in the Princess Ann. All of the staff were so friendly and professional. It made such a massive difference to my wife and I to feel so well supported and cared for. It was clear that some staff were just exhausted, having to make up shifts with so many colleagues shielding/in quarantine and yet they manage to put so much energy into creating a safe and positive environment. I cannot over emphasis how grateful my family and I are to you guys. Thank you so much.
