We have seen 2 houses on the market with Anne james and both, the agent hardly had any information of the property. Not knowing the answers to even the most basic of of questions. Even when speaking on the phone they when I enquired about why a property I was interested in was priced quite low - (usually you find either seller has a reason for this) but the agent I spoke to actually asked me “why, do you think it’s too low?” They don’t seem to have any knowledge of the properties their selling. I have also used them when I briefly rented out my house. I moved back into my property only to find that the renters had switched out my washing machine (AJ did not inform me of this change - they are meant to ask me) and that there had been a water leak which had destroyed part of my kitchen floor. Considering they are meant to inspect the property, again I hold them responsible. They made out that it wasn’t noticed. In summary, I would strongly advise you DO NOT sell your house with this agent - as they don’t gain knowledge or portray they know anything to a potential seller. And also STEER CLEAR of using them for managing a leg of your home as they don’t pay attention much to what renters are doing. Citing lies that they didn’t notice anything and almost leaning that it happened by your hand. I had no compensation offered for this and the renters never gave anything. An expensive floor ruined and had to be totally replaced. BEWARE AND AVOID.

Heather came to value the house we rent and even though she was there on behalf of our landlord she was very friendly and happily answered all of our questions.

I have been trying for two weeks to view a property listed with them. I call, they don't call back. I call again, they don't call back. They did finally book me in...to see the wrong property, which I didn't discover until I arrived there. I've called again, they don't call back. Someone did call today, not leaving his name or a message, so I rang back, was told they'd call me back in two minutes. And, guess what? Yeah, nothing. I do get the feeling I'm pestering the poor things by distracting them from their work by wanting to buy one of their houses! And I feel bad for the person whose house it is, who probably doesn't realize how monumentally incompetent their agency is, and wonders why they don't have any viewings. So, yes: either as buyer or seller, AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Just had my 70 year old neighbour in lockdown practically in tears because one of these agents just told her they dont want to go down the route of eviction because of a confusion over rent. Who in these days would use the word eviction to an elderly lady who's in quarantine worried out her skin. Absolutely vile !!!
