Just had an excellent Sunday lunch here - lean flavoursome topside with a lovely pink centre and well cooked veg with a fantastic cauliflower cheese side, and a pudding that really impressed. This place is definitely punching well above its weight!

A friendly service. A welcoming smile. Limited choice of ciders though ad l am not a beet or lager centred person. You can sit outside the front entrance if you don't object to the passing traffic just opposite.

I had a good time here with my friends. The food was all delicious and the staff was kind. There are special menu discounts and student discounts according to the day of the week, so I recommend you to check and go.

A party of four, we arrived for a Saturday late luncheon without prebooking. We were very well looked after by friendly and helpful staff. Gluten free needs were catered for. Food tasty, fresh and well presented. I can recommend the seared salmon nicoise salad highly which prepared "with extra care" for GF diet. Hamburger and chips and the battered fish & chips also looked good. Sandwich, chips and salad a particularly good value choice. Conveniences clean and well presented. Recommended.

Shame the current lease holders are handing back the lease to Greene King. They had a good run with the Bear creating a lovely local pub atmosphere ( live gigs, karaoke, quiz nights etc). Something what works best for this location in my eyes. Greene King apparantly investing 1.5 mil £ in the place over the next few weeks. Lets see. Last pints for the Bear for the moment.

Very bright and open space huge Windows let the day light in. The barman was friendly and helpful seemed far more organized than my first visit 8 months ago. The venue itself looks a bit worn but was spotless and clean. Outside seating avalable at the front and rear. I didn't try the food on this occasion but it looked good. Easy parking at the back. Will definitely call in again when passing through Bath.

Nice big room & bathroom, great parking and short walk into Bath centre (uphill on the way back). Great cafe closeby. Whole place as said is a little tired but a refurb is scheduled for early spring 2022. For £100 with no breakfast I think we just about got what we paid for. Friendly staff.
