Nice old-school looking hotel with great view from most rooms. The WiFi is terrible in some of the rooms so you may need to tether of your phone which is not ideal. The staff is very kind and helpful and they will sort out any issues you tell them right away. It is out of the city in a quiet area so if you are looking to relax after a day of hiking and site seeing then it is ideal for you

We arrived at 1PM and couldn't check in. We got their booking that was saying that check in is available since 7 o'clock morning. Check out was incorrect too. We booked upgraded room in Victorian style and instead got ground floor tiny room not worth the money. Staff was reasonably nice. I wouldn't recommend.

The staff are so friendly and very accommodating. We had complimentary tea in the lovely peaceful garden on arrival. The rooms were really well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed here with friends to celebrate a birthday. Staff had left a card and chocolates on our reserved breakfast table for the birthday girl. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and the location was ideal as we were attending an event in Bath. Much more reasonable than city centre hotels although we did book about 5 months on advance. We had 3 rooms, a twin, standard double and superior double. The standard double was very small but the superior double room was very spacious. Decor was tired and the carpet threadbare in places. Bathroom was fine and we had a rainfall shower which was great. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. On the whole a good stay but I'd recommend redecorating the rooms.

The hotel is in a great location just outside of the centre which is just a short journey away. Although traffic is bad due to road closures. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and well kept. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. Especially the manager, nothing was too much trouble. We asked him to book us a taxi I'm which he did straight away. The taxi firm were running really late, so he chases them up several times. He also was very busy checking people in as well as chasing up the taxi for us. I was so pleased at how helpful and friendly he was. Upon arrival you are asked what you would like for breakfast. There is quite a variety for you to chose from. Overall we were very happy to be staying at this lovely b&b and would recommend it and we would return. Thank you for our lovely stay!

Well it's a very basic hotel but what it does is fine. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. the rooms are on the small side but adequate. Breakfast is good. The private car park was important to me and the bus service is close with a good service - by far the best way of travelling into Bath. A star rating is difficult, what is one supposed to compare it with?

Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and of a good standard. Free on-site parking, and a 35 minute walk or 5 minute bus journey into the city centre. Bus stop right outside the hotel. Lovely period building, full of character. Our room was a little tired looking, however. The mattress felt like it was on its last legs and the shower took an absolute age to warm up, and when it did, the pressure was so low that it wasn’t much more than a dribble. Overall, we were pleased with our two night stay and felt the hotel was fairly priced and good value for money. Would stay again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and cheerful. The grounds are pretty and well kept. The dining room was attractive, and the breakfast timely and yummy. The gluten free bread was the best I have ever had. The rooms was large and traditional, the bed was very comfortable, and the view from the very large window was awesome. They have free parking for every room. And it was easy to find just off the roundabout, and 10 minutes drive from the city center which was perfect for us.
