Good service, lovely room in one of Bath's older buildings. Bit noisy at night with traffic and revellers . No Airton or even a fan and the lack of a lift might be an issue for some.

Very unfortunate uncomfortable stay - 1. The man on reception escorted me to my room, came inside (uninvited) and said “we agree there are 4 towels” - I assume he was concerned I might try to steal his towels perhaps? As a woman on my own I do not feel comfortable having a stranger in my room, and to imply I might steal from the hotel was offensive. 2. The room was very tired, carpets are dirty & threadbare in places (the main hotel stairs were also extremely tired), the toilet had hair on it, the floors in the bathroom were dirty, the hand wash container was unbelievably dirty, toilet needs some bleach putting in it, shower was dirty with a shower head that was lime-scaled up with v little water power 3. At checkout, the same man from the day before was unfriendly and rude. 4. There was a large vomit stain covering the floor at the entrance to the restaurant and hotel.5. Many of the TV channels had no signal, including bbc1 and channel 4. I was uncomfortable staying at this hotel, I would not stay again and I would recommend the hotel is thoroughly cleaned.

A beautiful building, with A LOT of stairs - we stayed on the top floor! Great location for exploring Bath. I requested non feather bedding due to severe allergies, but when we got to our room (again, lots of steps!) it was feather bedding. The new manager had real issues trying to solve this, which was very worrying. Eventually, another member of staff sent us on our way and when we returned all was solved. But ... I'd recommend you have a source of non feather bedding to hand for future guests please. The staff on duty the next morning were of a different quality - smiling, bubbly, and very welcoming. Especially Salvatore who served us breakfast. Engaging, interesting and a delight. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant experience

We had been dreadfully let down by our hotel in Bath (it was filthy), but we dropped into Loch Fyne Restaurant to ask if they had any rooms available. Unfortunately they were fully booked, but Joe, the manager, phoned around and got us accommodation (at 8 pm on a Saturday night!) He was so helpful and the staff so friendly, it must be company policy to employ the right people. We went back on Sunday for a meal and to thank Joe again..............the food was great too.

Very centrally located, with only a short walk to the famous landmarks. The room was large and clean, as was the ensuite, with some Georgian period details. The choice for breakfast was good and tasty, and the service was friendly and helpful. A very nice place to stay. Only drawback is parking, but we found a long stay car park a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was very comfortable and spacious. The only dowside for me was the lack of decent lighting as there was only ambient lighting in the room. I was tired, so wasn't bothered by the bar noise.
