Macdonald Spa Hotel bath

This place is exceptional, service and staff couldn’t have been any better! Everything went very smooth, we even got an upgrade to a room on the second floor. The place itself is beautiful with very impressive architecture and decoration. The gardens on the outside were wonderful and very very picturesque. Valet service is also available.

Fabulous. Initial room on ground floor wasn't private with 2 overlooked windows but we were given an upgrade straight away with lovely views of the gardens. A 20 min walk into Bath but well worth it. Lovely meal in restaurant. Spa area great.

We had a lovely stay over 2 days at the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful both in the hotel and restaurant. Breakfast was nice but not as good quality as the evening food. The spa was very nice and relaxing with lots of sauna & steam rooms. The hotel is set very close to Sydney Gardens which made for lovely walks to and from the centre.

Fabulous building and grounds. Excellent therapist Lauren for mini facial and back massage. Had spa day and cream tea..lovely day but some improvements required with ensuring spa slippers available on arrival and explanation of the day package including treatments available and cream tea booking varied depending on who you spoke to on the phone and diffetent staff at the spa. Pleasant staff though and apologetic for few minor mishaps. Would return. Nice facilities outside on sunny day!

The hotel was lovely. However our booked package was a bit confusing & contradictory! Two course evening meal really meant as long as it was under £30 per head. Confusion around the afternoon tea, and then to be told on check out that there was a car park fee! Which I refused to pay. Other than that, the room was comfortable, the spa/massage good and the weather warm!!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location within Bath. Great that we could park before check in time which allowed us to take the 15 to 20 minute walk into the centre of Bath along some of its lovely streets. Having spent a leisurely few hours in Bath we strolled back to the hotel (is up hill). On arrival we were able to check in immediately. Our room was beautiful with the highest ceilings I have ever seen. The room had everything we needed and a spacious bathroom. All was very clean. We did not dine at the hotel or use the spa facilities so cannot comment on these. Bed was very comfortable and our Breakfast was lovely, staff all so attentive. We were able to leave our car in the car park beyond check out time which allowed us to extend our time in Bath.

We had such a great time here. Got the morning revival spa package on the 10th of December and was amazing. Outside therapy pool was great, the massage was one of the best I've had. The service from everyone was incredible so thank you. Finally the food topped off with a glass of wine made for a fantastic Friday in Bath. Thank you all.

Only spent one night and day here but needed longer. The loveliest hotel with very attentive staff. So friendly and welcoming. The spa is just the best I’ve been too and the best massage myself and my partner have ever had ! The heated massage beds are just the most relaxing way to have a massage. Brilliant thank you x

Stayed with a friend for a spa break which we booked via spa breaks.com. We got dinner, a stay, massage and breakfast. The building is so beautiful and our room was lovely. Staff were really attentive and kind and we felt really looked after. Has a really luxury feel to it, perfect for a relaxing break. The grounds are pretty too. Walking distance into bath. Would love to stay again.

Great place for a spa break, the facilities were really good. Got to use the swimming pool, outdoor heated pool, multiple saunas and steam rooms, and even braved the ice room! Also dined and had breakfast in the restaurant, all highly recommended!
