For a free botanical garden, really can't complain! The very tame and friendly pigeons & squirrels were a nice change, and the meandering layout meant a few loops were needed to see it all. The second part, set across the road in a forest area was an unexpected but not unpleasant change from the usual.

Beautiful gardens with superb upkeep. Nice to see our taxes being spent on something this nice. This is definitely the good side opposed to the parks on the outskirts of Bath where fly tipping is the norm and incompetence is the order of the day!!

I walk through, or by, the Botanical Gardens in Royal Victoria Park almost every lunchtime, as I work in the centre of Bath. It's always a peaceful and relaxing oasis in the city and beautifully maintained. I particularly love it in the spring, when the blossom is at its best.

Pretty grounds which are maintained by the council. I visited on a Sunday afternoon to catch some of autumn tints and there were plenty of those around. There are many benches scattered around, a number have good views of the gardens. It is a place I need to go back and visit again. Parking in the grounds is free and Sunday but it can be a bit difficult finding spot.

Perfect for a romantic spot to sit with a coffee ❣️ (there is a coffee & cake hut, best to check opening times of it first) The gardens are very plush, and host plenty of benches and spots to lie on the grass with a book. It always attracts a few photographers as the gardens have some great character too
