This is a really nice walk in the hills around bath. You will definitely go up and down hills but as long as you don’t have any knee issues, you will be fine. Great views, a bit of history, and a little bit of exercise. Just needs a beer garden at the halfway mark.

Great walk through the countryside. Keep your eyes peeled for the yellow blazes that mark the trail. Do not miss the Sham Castle Folly side trail that starts near the Sham Castle Golf Course for a great view of Bath and a romantic spot to watch the sun set over the town and surrounding hills.

Parking was a little difficult as there seemed to be no dedicated area. The walk however was brilliant with fantastic views over Bath. Once in the town via canal and park its up to you where you go. A must do day out.

A captivating walk and very well signposted bar a small section in the woodland. The National Trust directions from the website are also very clear. We undertook the walk in early January and the ground was muddy underfoot in a few places. Make sure that you are prepared to clean your boots. We did find a parking place on the unrestricted section at the start of the walk on Cleveland Walk. The walk itself took us about 3 and a quarter hours.

This isn't so much one place, as a collection of open spaces and tracks. Its limits are poorly defined, but that doesn't matter. It's got great views of Bath, a good mix of terrain, direct access to the university, the sham castle, golf club, Youth Hostel Association, and doubtless other attractions. Although some bits can be hilly (it is part of Bath, after all), most of the paths are fairly level. Some of the fence stiles could do with modifications, to make them more accessible.

Really poor signage and the online map was focused more on aesthetics than functionality, which meant that keeping on track was very difficult and frustrating.
