Located on an urban road it is a wonderful surprise to find a large mature garden. The garden is an oasis from a busy Bath. Would be great for a country House hotel let alone in Bath. Perfect place for drinks on the terrace after sightseeing! Wonderful food, well presented. Knowledgeable staff who are only to keen to help.

Faultless stay!! Amazing, attentive service. Hotel well located. The gardens were beautiful, perfect for a morning stroll. Breakfast was great. I only have positive things to say. We stayed in the ‘Foxglove’ room, an upgrade on the room we payed for, so felt very lucky and a lovely surprise on arrival. Spa/Pool facilities were immaculate!! Would 100% recommend.

Nice place with friendly staff. The surroundings are good. Some areas could use some updating but I had no complaints about the cleanliness and order of things. It is a good stop over for a night or two to explore the area. They were happy to offer some local information as to the best places to visit. Happy to recommend it.

Beautiful location. Excellent food. Amazing variety of teas. Recommend the high tea but you only get 1 1/2 cups per teapot. So ask for additional water as they wont offer it. Make sure you walk around the gardens as they are lovely and great for background photos.

This should be a five-star review but it's not, for two reasons. First the service at breakfast was slow at the weekend, and we had cold tea served. The food was otherwise very good. Second, the room cleaner took my teddy bear away with the bedding, and the bear has still not been returned to me two weeks later. The place itself is lovely, though, the food is excellent, and the spa service is also excellent.

Review for the spa: Pedicure Cons: The colour selection/quality is poor unless you want bright colours. For plain nail polish they do not have a white which is a staple colour. They can only do one colour no french or design (the manager told me they could do french but my nail tech said no). I would recommend not getting white or lighter colours in gel as unfortunately their polishes aren’t the best quality for lighter colours and come out streaky. (Not the nail techs fault just the quality of the polish). My toes got nicked three times on separate toes when having my cuticles prepped, so the whole process from then on was quite painful and burnt a lot so it wasn’t the most pleasant experience sadly. The nail prepping was also rather vicious which wasn’t very enjoyable and quite painful. As a nail tech myself I would recommend getting a cuticle remover gel this is a much less invasive process and avoids cuts which can then become infected. I would of also enjoyed a little more conversation as we spend the majority of the time in silence but this is personal preference. I get my nails done very often and I would say for quality and price you are better off sticking to a high street £20 nail shop however for ambience, surrounding and massages this would be a better option. Please visit my tripadvisor review for pictures as it won’t let me upload on here Pros: The rooms are beautiful and the view is lovely - you get a foot bath, massage and scrub upon arrival which was very nice. You have a foot cream and warm foot massage at the end which was very nice and soothing, definitely my favourite part. The music is very relaxing as well. You get to sit in the beautiful relaxation afterwards and have herbal tea. The manager came and spoke to us she was very nice and apologetic. She was very mature about the situation which was of course not her fault so that is much appreciated. My mum also had hers done and had a very different very positive experience so hopefully this was a one off. I have had massages here before which were amazing so I would definitely recommend them for that and the pool etc is amazing.

The public areas have seen their glory a while back. Maintenance is lacking. Compared with the Priory’s very high accommodation rates- there are much better hotels around.
