food tasted ok but recently got ill from eating here. please avoid

Extremely disappointed with Brighton Wok, we had three problems tonight. They didn’t send one of our dishes, so we called them to let them know , it arrived half an hour later with a second bag of prawn crackers . We are vegetarians and from our order you would have thought they would have realised this - so if the bag of crackers Was an apology, we were not impressed with it. The final problem was with the black bean veggie chicken which was not listed as spicy, but was very spicy . I have an intolerance to spicy food , so was extremely annoyed that I was unable to enjoy the food we had ordered for a special treat. I called them to explain how disappointing our order was and her response was that usually black bean sauce is spicy - to which I responded- why hadn’t it been listed on the menu ? Terrible customer service - not returning !

Just had one of the worst Chinese Takaway ever. Chicken balls tasted like fake meat, definitely not real chicken tasted pappy and mushy yum. Rice was ok. The sweet and sour just plain awful, tasted a bit off. Needless too say after two or three mouth full's I threw the rest away. Don't waste your money.

Is there a category of takeaway food that’s Nowhereinparticular Food? The king prawn balls were prawns in bread dough. The vegetable chop suey was beanspouts, bamboo shoots and baby corn in some sort of revolting tomato liquid. The chow mein had no chow mein flavour, just the flavour of plain boiled noodles. The food was inedible, most of it went in the bin. I wish now I had gone to Iceland and bought a selection of their ready to cook dishes. They would have been a hundred times better. Avoid this place at all cost. It used to be good, we ordered from there often. But the phone number has just gone in the bin, along with the food!

Live nearby and order regularly and find them to be a really reliable chinese over the past couple of years. Wish they would offer better quality prawn crackers but otherwise all good

Order from here quite often and the food is very good, always get the lady answer the phone really polite all round my favourite Chinese restaurant never had an issue 😁
