I feel sad that a great city like Brighton has a less amazing swimming pool. Changing cabins and showers are very draughty. Many locker wristbands are broken. Overshoes not always available. Staff seem to wear trainers and it looks like they are also worn outsides. Bottom of pool has frequent sand collections demonstrating that system not good to avoid shoes being taken through or questioning people not showering before entering. Water tap is always calcified looking and shower ares too could need a daily descale. Once a man was reading newspaper and eating in sauna - well done for him but I was disappointed. Previous complaints had not been responded too. Hence swimming in sea now and have stopped moaning. Come on Brighton - do better make us proud

I have only used the swimming pools here. So I can't say what the gym and other facilitiesare like. The main pool is great for a swim, with slow, medium and fast lanes as well as an open area. But the children's pool is often to cold for the little ones.

I don’t think this pool has ever been cleaned. I swam here for a couple of months but ultimately gave up because it made me feel a bit gross. Such a shame because it’s like the only 25m pool in Brighton and I’ve basically given up swimming because this pool was so off putting.

If you don’t swim properly in the lanes then this place overall just really sucks. Staff isn’t great either. The showers are nice though.

Friendly staff and hot showers, however, the changing rooms and toilets are always dirty and smelly. It doesn't open to the public on a Saturday until 9am which is really disappointing. There is also very little space with 2 of the 5 swimming lanes being used for swimming lessons. Unfortunately, as a public amenity it is not good enough and Brighton deserves better.

All staff appear to be disinterested teenagers. Probably the reason why the facilities seem like they could do with a decent clean (like most municipal pools in England). Also its rather chilly and slippery when walking from the baby pool to showers. Only saving grace is the location.

I used to be a member here as it was close to my office so it was convenient to get to. It was always ok, sometimes too busy and you would wish they would tell you not to bother because you can't get any space to actually swim around comfortably, but usually it was ok. Stopped because of pandemic. Recently enquired about restarting my membership and wanted to see if I could get the same discount I used to have through work. They replied quickly but without asking setup my membership immediately. I guess this is efficient at least, but they didn't ask me to confirm when I wanted to start. Since then they keep asking me for the money and I've not even had time to go and start using the membership yet, nor do I have the money to cover what they are telling me I owe. I feel they should have asked for confirmation before just telling me I owe them money. I would have asked to start it from the new month once I paid but they didn't give me any option or check that I wanted it set up immediately. Now I'm a bit annoyed at being hassled to pay for time I wouldn't even be able to use. If there was another option near me I would tell them to forget it and don't charge people for time that they haven't agreed to specifically. 3 stars because the place is generally fine, and I didn't have any real issues with them before, just the slight overcrowded facilities sometimes. And now I'm a bit unhappy with my service recently but I also can't fault them for actually processing it quickly etc, just they could be a bit more thoughtful that people are sometimes just asking for info and you should always confirm monetary payments before actioning them! Also the staff member who did that wasn't very understanding with their replies to me, and just said, well it's processed now so you have to pay it.
