Good atmosphere and friendly stuff, a bit pricy, the food is good but doesn't justify the price! Service was a bit slow (approx 1 hour) the kitchen had lots of work but we should have been notified when we sat down that food will take long time. We got a discount on the bill after asking, so that was good.

We arrived at this place in the evening, after a long 14 mile hike on the seven sisters. The check-in process was straight forward. However, when we reached our room to settle and have a hot shower we discovered the water was cold! We tried to call reception and headed down but they had locked up! We had to go to bed without showering and needless to say with aching muscles that we couldn't ease with the hot shower. There was no heating either. Three of the beds were made up but the sofa bed we had to make up ourselves. Not a place that I would recommend. A real disappointment for the price we paid!

We were disappointed today. We ate Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and it was superb and I would have given 5 stars. The 3 stars I gave today was because the staff were so obliging but the food was only worth 2 stars. Too difficult to say everything that went wrong. Poor.

The room was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Food and drink were welcoming. Only reason I am unable to give 5 stars is due to the lack of parking as on night I visited all parking outside car park and on nearby streets were full, having a car park specifically for guests to avoid stress of being unable to park would significantly improve experience
