Our son and daughter attended Young Sussex for a very short time in November 2017. I have no comments about the quality of care; after the settling in period, we felt that the setting wasn't for us as a family, but these things are subjective, and the staff who looked after the kids were fine. I would just like to draw other parents' attention to the charges; it's worth being 100% positive about the setting before your children start for real after their settling in sessions. Our son attended for one day, and our daughter for two days, and we have paid a total of £1,066. Initially, they were asking for £1,229, but knocked two weeks off our notice period as a gesture of goodwill. We paid a £400 deposit, which wasn't refunded due to the fact that they hadn't been there for three months yet, and also for a full four weeks' childcare even though our children attended for only two days. It seems to me that we are paying twice for the same thing.

Our son goes to Young Sussex and he absolutely loves it. We love it too as we know he's in good hands. I visited four nurseries in the area and Young Sussex stood out by a mile. Others were either expensive, didn't include the same amount or were just a bit too clinical. With Young Sussex I got a really good feeling as the children were all very happy, running around, getting messy with paints, toys, etc. It's the kind of place that feels comfortable straight away. And the staff are absolutely amazing. They're of different ages and backgrounds and although they work hard, you can tell they really enjoy it. They also listen to the parents and take any feedback on board. What is great about Young Sussex is that they're really flexible and, with sufficient notice, you can earn days in lieu when you take your child on holiday, which means you don't just lose those days/money. Lastly, what we pay goes a long way. Everything's included (nappies, wipes, snacks), which means there's not much to think about in the mornings in terms of getting ready. We also pay a little extra for a cooked lunch, which is freshly made from organic produce.

I would highly recommend Young Sussex to anyone looking for brilliant childcare (and have done so several times). My daughter has been at Young Sussex since she was 9 months old (she is now 3). She settled in really quickly and happily runs off without fail when I drop her off in the morning. I think this is a real testament to the great staff and the excellent activities they have on offer. She is reading, doing arts and crafts, signing, dancing and lots more. She also spends lots of time in the garden. On Sunday, she asked me if she could please go to nursery! My little boy has just started in the creche (aged 8 months) and is really happy too. No tears settling in at all :-).

My daughter went here, after a lot of searching for a good nursery. I fell in love with the place the moment I walked in. Staff are great, facilities are fab and the activities on offer are varied and plentiful. I was a bit apprehensive as my daughter was only 9 months when she started at YSA but I didn't need to worry, not once did she cry when I left her. She absolutely loved her days here, getting excited whenever we approached the gates. So cute!

Excellent nursery and fantastic staff. Not as smart a others on the outside, but that doesn't make a drop of defence for a nursery age child. 1 child has been all the way through and now at school and another still in attendance. She loves it even more than her brother did, and this is all down to the staff who have got even better as they have got more experienced. Staff turnover also very very low which is a great sign and great for the kids. Bravo
