What an amazing historic house free for all the public to view.... Only a few rooms on show, but truly impressive Elizabethan oak panelling- really ornate & ancient. Especially loved the Elizabethan four-poster bed with very faint traces of the original paint colours still visible. Classic Tudor knot garden - beautiful calm spot in the busy city

Hidden Treasure. Walked past it hundreds of times. Well worth a visit. Impressive wooden panels and watch out for the indoor well, amazing. No access for pushchairs etc.

Fascinating small museum, house originally built in 1580s then extended in 1790s. Lots of original features, one room in particular, Elizabethan carved oak panelling and furniture. Stunning. Helpful informative staff too. Highly recommended

Best go to spot in Bristol, free of charge. Amazing Tudor style home, I loved to read about the decoration and history of the place. Staff is friendly and nice, I had a chat with them and made my visit so much richer!

Very interesting museum about the Elisabetan period that shows sumptuous oak style rooms and furniture. The staff is very knowledgeable so I recommend asking them questions. It is short but lovely.
