5/ 5

I am the manager of the British Heart Foundation Books and Music shop at 148 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 2RS. We have been serving the local community for 12 years and, as independent bookshops and major bookselling chains have increasingly been closing down in recent years, we have become highly valued by people in Bristol and further afield. We have scarcely raised our prices in the time we've been going. We love to help our customers find what they need. We are very proud of our bookshop and of the contribution we make to the vital work of the British Heart Foundation, and we hope you will visit us and review us soon.

  • In Roman times, Newcastle – then called Pons Aelius – was a fort on Hadrian’s Wall, and during the Saxon period, it was known as Monk Chester on account of its many religious houses.
