Experience with Anthony James has been great all year round. They are quick at fixing any issues we had in the flat and are always very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely staff who are always helpful and friendly. We particularly like Tony the handyman. Makes a nice change to have friendly landlords instead of the companies who treat you like a business transaction.

Excellent experience with AntJam. Always been so helpful with getting anything fixed and really lovely to work with. Also the only estate agent who you can sign electronically which is a massive bonus as we were all on a year abroad.

Really good lettings agency, they take a very relaxed and casual approach which works well for me and my housemates. Significantly better than the agency I previously rented with.

I've let my property through Anthony James & Co. ever since I acquired it back in 1997 and have been extremely happy with their service during these past 24 years! I recently needed to get a loan against the property which required lots of paperwork and a number of inspections due to the fact it was an HMO. I live in Thailand and would have been at a complete loss without the help of Jason, the manger there. He has been absolutely brilliant and helped me get everything the bank needed in record time. I highly recommend Anthony James & Co. and am happy to have them continue to manage my property going forward.

Rented with Antjam for two years as a student and they are great! I was always able to reach them by email or phone. They are so friendly and have gone above and beyond to fix some issues we had (including retrieving things from the flat after move out and adjusting our inventory during quarantine so we could leave things in the flat). Their maintenance service is also really efficient. There were hiccups But these were easily resolved once we reached out to them. Aside from that, they are very reasonable and easy to rent with, no hidden costs and straightforward tenancy agreements. Would definitely recommend!

Renting a student house under Anthony James & Co was the worst living experience of my life. They promised the house would be fixed up before we moved in, they were just in the process of doing it. By time we moved in nothing had changed. There were holes in the walls and floor of nearly every room. Which we ended up filling the wall holes in ourselves after getting fed up of asking. My attic bedroom window was broken and couldn't be closed. They only fixed it in October when the weather had gotten colder after asking them since July - when we moved in. Majority of the kitchen cabinets did not have cupboard doors, we enquired but they were never fixed. The lights in the house were faulty and didn't work for almost 3 weeks. After having to nag endlessly they finally brought electricians in and there was water leaking in the roof. The people 'fixing' the electrics left wood, nails, tools a general mess all over my room. They then had builders in to fix the roof, nearly two months this took. 8am every morning untill 5pm, every week day. I lived in the attic room it was constant noise and banging for TWO months I had to stay with friends or go back home as much as possible while being in uni it was impossible to live there. We had mushrooms begin to grow in our main bathroom. They had to strip and redo the entire bathroom and we were left with ONE bathroom between 6 students for a month. Our cooker hob when used would often trip the electricity we complained multiple times and it was never replaced. When we moved in the house was filthy from top to bottom. We left the house in better condition than when we arrived and they STILL took 'cleaning charges' from our deposits. The worst letting agency I have ever dealt with.

Beyond disappointing. Living with Anthony James was a nightmare from start to finish, to list just a few of this issues we had: nearly 6 months without proper running hot water, 2 months with no wifi connection, moving in to a house that looked like a squat (which subsequently took weeks to properly correct, and a number of the issues we pointed out from this not being fixed throughout our entire tenancy), multiple leaks (both roof leaks and leaks from poorly done pipe work behind the shower and bath) and also a constant issue was the lack of care staff had whenever we reported an issue it would rarely see any form of action within 2 weeks. Trying to get any recompense for living a house with so many issues was almost pointless. I can't be more adamant that you SHOULD NOT live with Anthony James & Co. If I could give no stars I would. I know student agencies are well known for being bad but this is another level.
