The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were apprehensive as previous reviews suggested otherwise, but our room was spacious, nicely decorated, sound proofed from the nearby main and busy A38 road, and had good TV, tea & coffee facilities. The mattress was thick and comfortable, with an extra blanket available if needed. The carpeting was thick. There are hand dispensers for soda and shampoo. The room rates were economical. With breakfasts, a wide choice from full English to cereal with smaller choices available The all day menu has good choices, again with smaller portion choices, and there's a specials menu. We recommend the korma curry and the roast brisket of beef. For travel to Bristol, the A2 bus stops outside, and the A4 *check that) goes to Bath. The airport is not far, but you can't hear any plane noise at all. I understand you can securely park here while you fly off, and they arrange taxis for you. We enjoyed our 5 day stay and will definitely return again!!

Hotel room we first had( room 5 ) was absolutely beautiful 5 star, clean and ample of space, shower and bathroom was perfect. We were moved to a twin due to arriving too early and the room was lovely but the bathroom needed updating . Ample long stay Parking, only down fall was it's a tight space to turn around and spaces are tight . Staff are very helpful and friendly. I would come back here .

As I post I'm still there. Big room, good beds, everything clean. Plenty of tea coffee with biccies thrown in. Decent heating, good size bathroom with clean towels. And for the price I can only say excellent. The bar is reasonably priced and the food is good. Very happy

The customer service is exceptional during the morning times and afternoons, during the night it lacks slightly. The rooms are very nice and are good value for money and the food is a little overpriced. However where this lodge severely lacks is the space to manoeuvre a car around the car park and entrance areas there is just enough space for a large vehicle to get through and the bends into the carpark are far too sharp.

The recent renovations have transformed this location, huge windows look out over South Bristol country side. The restaurant is light and airy. Going for breakfast the staff were ultra friendly and the food was good quality with unlimited filter coffee or tea
