Renu’s cambridge

Haven't visited in a long time, but been very reliable Indian for a long time for me. I wouldn't call them amazing, for some reason their spices don't feel anything special to me, don't have strong taste, pretty simple, compared to some other Indian food I've had. But good nevertheless

I have used Renus for many years always great food very tasty, nice size chicken breast ,fast delivery, staff are really nice and helpful. The online ordering system is very fast and convenient.

Used to be a regular customer of Renu's several years back and just moved back to the area but OMG so so disappointed in quality of food but have read afterwards that owner changed. Sorry but Not a touch on previous food. Onion Bhaji's are RED, Slimey and 3 not 4 as advertised - BINNED, Donner Naan Wrap Dry and Tasteless. Puree NO taste. WTF has happened ?? so so so disappointed with quality and feel so robbed of my money. Worth £5 AT BEST not £30 !!!

Avoid! Had a delivery which was inedible. The meat (supposedly lamb) was incredibly tough and chewy. It was also cold and bland with little flavour. I called to ask that the driver return to collect the order less than 2 minutes after it arrived. The manager was incredibly rude, muttering expletives and "Oh my god" under his breath and essentially defending the toughness of the meat saying it was "mutton". It's rare that my wife and I treat ourselves. The kids were in bed, the food arrived and our evening plans were ruined by poorly cooked food and utter contempt from the manager. I will not be ordering from them again and have advised my family and friends to avoid them as well.

Given all the positive reviews about Renu's, I was really quite disappointed with the food. The food was pretty bland and some of it overcooked. The naan was stodgy and lacking in flavour. The Bombay potatoes were an exception, pretty tasty! The portions were pretty generous but I wouldn't rush to order again.

For me consistency is key. Renu’s food is consistently great. I hold a high standard for curry and this is by far the best in Cambridge. The chefs specials are awesome. The recent additions are just as delicious as the rest of the menu. The staff are caring and very friendly. Checking up on my orders and making sure I made the correct order (when once I made a mistake) and are very friendly too. They are happy to talk about recommendations also. Using the new online system is really user-friendly and easy. Delivery has always been on time. Overall best curry in Cambridge and great service. What’s not to love!

Think I may have reviewed Renu's before but we had a delicious takeaway from them earlier this week so might as well submit another review. Excellent food as usual, just writing this is making my mouth water. Wow that king prawn garlic chilli dish was HOT man! But totally delicious. See you soon.

Absolutely excellent food - particularly the Machlee Shath and other specials - and always friendly service... plus they deliver to Willingham!

The food is always good and brutally fresh. There’s nothing I don’t like about the food here. Give them a visit if you haven’t done it before.
