Out door clothing not cheap

Visited to buy a new waterproof jacket but was disappointed by the lack of stock. I guess they sell more via the website these days but I had hoped to see a few jackets featured on the website in the shop. Sadly this wasn't to be and what I actually found was more of a jumble sale of random stuff. Staff stayed firmly behind the till and didn't venture out to see if they could help. The contrast between this and Ellis Brigham is huge. Even compared to Mountain Warehouse next door, which actually is based on a jumble sale was tragic. I won't be going back.

Good selection of outdoor clothes and equipment. Items however are expensive when not on deals. Staff are really helpful. After going to several shops I came here to get walking boots. I had my feet measured and was given a wide range of boots. I found the perfect boots and intend coming back here in the future.

Excellent freshly prepared food. Good value. Café could do with a bit of an uplift.

Fantastic staff and very knowledgeable about wide ranging outdoor needs and interests.

Went in to find a well-fitting pair of climbing shoes and was assisted by a hugely knowledgeable member of staff (himself a climber) who gave great advice and was more than happy for my to try several pairs of shoes in multiple different sizes. There was a pretty good range of shoes to choose from, so highly recommended.
