Lovely atmosphere and nice food. We had a nice meal celebrating my dad's 80th. Just a shame our request to have a candle and happy birthday plate was met with resistance seeming because we weren't ordering deserts for our whole group. They did it in the end though.

Typical gastropub. We tried the pub as our hotel has a 25% discount deal with them. Good food however rather pricey. Staff were very friendly and really good beer and cocktail selection. Unfortunately when we arrived there was 2 types of roast unavailable. Would give it a go though for a place to eat.

2 people eating had tea and a Guinness, 1 brie starter that didnt come with bread and a selection of breads (2 slices of seeded bloomer bread is what I got) and 2 roasts which came to £49.50. Now the tea was way too strong (leaf tea) i asked for an extra pot of hot water which was provided no problem. The roasts should of came with roast potatoes but they might as well of been boiled the seasonal vegetables were beetroot half soft half hard pieces, peas, leek and kale not really veg you'd expect on a roast or at least not the main veg. Honestly the food was edible and had good flavours the meat was really good but for the price it was no where near as good as you would expect, hence the 2 stars. Unfortunate really as the staff were nice and helpful.

A nice refit has been done here. The food was good but possibly on the pricey side. They have crammed so many tables in beside each other we have no room to move. If you want a roast on a Sunday go early as they had sold out. The staff are friendly but there just wasn't enough of them. I would visit again but earlier in the day.

Great family friendly pub. I was very cosy and we were made to feel really welcome by the staff. A tasty menu and good options for my other half who’s vegan.
