Not sure what is going on but that is the 2nd terrible takeaway we've had in the last month. Last month the beef in black bean didn't taste like beef, really sweet and now we just had chicken and mushrooms and the chicken was shredded and tasted really weird. It needs some time out from us for sure. Really disappointing and a couple of years of excellent food . These last 2 have been dreadful however

Such a shame that a familiar place isn't doing as well as I know it's capable to. Rang several times over the course of an hour within opening hours, and was constantly put to voice message. Change in menu has resulted higher prices and less food. Set meals were very disappointing. Not even half the container was full. Obviously some changes have been made, arguably not for the better. We've been ordering at Rogers for years, hopefully something will change soon or we won't be ordering again.

Collected a take away this evening and was instantly appalled by the staff and the food handling in the open kitchen. It appears that an open kitchen suggest confidence in hygiene and general high standards of food handling but this evening I absolutely witnessed the opposite. There were plain clothes young people working in between the kitchen and the ordering counter. They were not wearing any catering clothing and were handling food items with their bare hands. In between handling food one handled a card payment and used the order keypad which was filthy. They then returned to the food handling! Another very young adult was coughing and adjusting hair before handling chips with their hands. It was shocking to witness. I reluctantly returned home with the food to find the curry tasted of cleaning agent and the chicken was dark and rubbery. The whole meal was binned and I will never return. The young people in the kitchen need hygiene training, catering clothes and the owners need to clean the ordering equipment while setting some hygiene standards. On top of all of that while I was there a telephone order came through chasing delivery and customer was told sorry we are too busy, you will have to collect for yourself instead! They haven’t got a clue! Avoid at all costs, this is not the same clean, friendly Rogers of previous management. Shocked. The youngsters in the kitchen were being taught how to prepare dishes, I would be shocked if they had the necessary catering certificates.

Booked meal at 7pm. Told to wait for an hour and three quarters because of workload. Then told to wait another quarter of an hour. Then told that further orders had delayed the meal for a further hour!!!! We then gave up, and went to Tesco's .By now it was after 9pm. We could not get our food from Rogers until 10pm!!What is going on here ? This is simply disgraceful. We will let others know of our experience. Get a grip, please.

Similarly to other experiences, we called to make an order at 19:00 and were told that the order wouldn’t be ready until 20:45, which although disappointing is understandable as they explained they had a big order come through. Please note, we explicitly gave them our phone number and requested to be contacted if there were any changes to the timings of the order. 20:45 comes along and we arrive at the restaurant to get told that it would be another quarter of an hour. We then returned home, phoned them at 21:00 and they told us that it wouldn’t be ready for another hour. THREE hours after we had initially ordered. The total lack of customer service is astounding and the feedback from their customers is clearly meaningless to the business, as this does not appear to be the first time that this has happened. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering there again.

Where do I start with Rogers Chinese takeaway? First of all we placed an order at 19.00pm for pickup and were informed on the phone that collection would be in an hour, when we arrived at 20.00pm we were waiting for nearly an hour before getting the food after being told it would only be 15 minutes when we got there, why couldn't you set realistic expectations on the phone? During our wait and looking into the kitchen it seemed that there were a lot of staff not doing anything, just waiting around for something to happen? Finally the food.. after the long wait the food was very poor, the crispy beef was very salty and hard to eat, the chicken noodles had a tang to them and the sweet & sour chicken (hong kong style) looked and tasted like it was thrown together with no thought, the sauce was quite sweet and large cuts of carrot were just thrown in. The saving grace from this delivery was the duck and pancakes which was tasty. I will not be rushing back..very disappointed

Appauling delivery service, order placed 530pm for 730pm....2 and half hours late without being told it would be late, rang twice to ask where it was... lied to on the phone, when it finally came food was freezing cold and tasted like it was washed up on Barry Island beach with loads of salt on it. Happened twice within 4 weeks. This place has dropped plummeted like a led balloon.... advice stay away

Place looks terrible when you go in. Like someone is using the place to store their stuff during a house move with boxes and a wooden pallet laying around in the waiting area. Staff belittled a customer who asked for a sachet of salt then continued to mock him after he had left. Chow mien was soggy, other food was very bland. Only went here because the Chinese over the road was closed. Won’t be going back here again Edit- on the points you raise, the customer did not show attitude when he left. He shook his head in apparent disbelief staff were mocking him whilst he was still present. Take onboard your comments about taste, this is my simply my personal view.
