Peter Alan – Head Office cardiff

We had a great experience with Peter Alan. From the beginning, Paige from the Canton office was very professional and extremely helpful. We had to deal with a few issues through Head office (down to the landlord) and we received a lot of help and support from the team. Joanna especially as nothing was too much and we always got a response in no time. Even if the specific person who we were in direct contact with was unavailable someone else on the team was always ready to help out in any way they possibly could. High praise to the whole team. We would like to thank Paris Dillon-Bennett, the Portfolio Manager - Maintenance, for her delication to help us. She always responds quickly, she is very efficient, and she never forgets any issues we ask her to help. She does take care of the tenants very well and she is such a support we are not able to live without!

The service of peter Alan was average. However Jai Davis-Sellick was fantastic in helping me. She was the only one truly caring about my concerns and she was the only one responding to me all the time for issues not related to her, she went that extra mile on my last day and I am very grateful for that. The rest of her colleagues in the Cardiff office were pretty rude and unresponsive especially Paige Wiseman, she never cared about what I was asking her and she was taking ages to respond, she only cared about her commission, she was the worst agent I've ever dealt in my life!!!

Worst service ever. AVOID them! We are trying to buy a house through them. It's been half a year now, still no update. We've been acting as quick as possible for every thing they need, yet they never update us with anything. We had to call them from time to time asking for progress. Their answer is always the same, 'we'll call you back', and then they never! Then to some point, they threaten us saying if we don't pay the seller sooner enough, the seller will post the house back to the market while the seller sent nothing to us yet for any sort of signing or exchanging contract. Luckily we got in touch with the seller who was surprised at Peter Alan's response. The seller said they were never in a hurry and they have heard nothing from Peter Alan for ages!!!! We feel sorry for the seller as in the end it's them who have to pay this worse agency thousands of pounds for their 'services'. Everyone who try to find a decent agency, do check reviews of them first before paying. Of course, don't check reviews from their own website. Full of lies!

I originally chose Peter Alan because it was a local estate agent with established, known, local people who provided a very personal service. A couple of years ago they were taken over by a larger organisation and this personal service seemed to be on the way out, but I am pleased to report that the recent dealings I have had have been back to the standards that I previously experienced and have come to expect. The local branch staff are very good and are well supported by the team in Cardiff, particularly a staff member Chloe, who has been attentive, supportive and proactive allowing me, as a landlord, to make informed choices regarding my properties. As a person building a business, I hope these staff members stay with Peter Alan and continue the work of building positive, working relationships with their landlords and tenants.

I have been making inquiries them about several houses right away after they advertised them. None ever replied. Tried to call, always go to mailbox. Then all houses have been let agreed. So dissapointed. Someone called once finally, then disconnected in the middle of conversation. He didn't try to call back, so I call back, then again. Mailbox.

Wish I could give 0 stars. worst company I have ever dealt with. Moved into a property that need repairs and had mould everywhere. spent days cleaning when we moved in. threw keys at us when we picked up. now we have finally left the horrible property they have tried to take £200 for cleaning after we left it in much better condition. After asking for them to revise this bill, they have stop all contact and are holding our deposit ransom. avoid at all costs!!!

Having had a few initial issues the staff at the PORTHCAWL OFFICE have been brilliant ! -

Rented a property with Peter Alan, since before moving in there was a lack of communication, when moved into the property, it was not cleaned at all was very dirty and has the previous owners shoes and even teeth in the bathroom!! Had tried changing rent payment date since before we moved in and still has not been sorted. Found out that they had not payed out landlord for the first three months we were there when we had been paying our rent to them. We needed maintenance assistance and was not granted by landlord as they had not received rent. Would call for things to be sorted out and not hear anything so would call up for an update and not even remember our previous conversation! Would never rent from them again and do not recommend to anyone! Stay clear!! See photos of our house when we moved in, disgusting especially when in a pandemic!
