Modern hotel, with nice restaurant and pub and great gym. Colours are modern and may not be for everyone taste. Great to have an Starbucks on site. Last 2 stays have been terrible. Last one their system didn't work so had to go to another hotel at midnight as it was impossible to check in, and today the room heating was not working (during winter!).

Lovely hotel and great atmosphere, but does get very busy at times. The rooms are lovely and spacious get to just relax. They have a nice big restaurant which services a simple menu but can't fault the food. Near the bar they have a large screen for sports events. The football was on whilst I was there which meant it was busy. I would recommend using the gym and spa but be warned you will be charged £5 per day. There is a large parking area but when it's busy it can't be difficult to find a space and you get 4 hours free before you get charged £5 a day.

Stayed here for 1 night for an office celebration. A modern self service system for check in. Room was clean and tidy with a large double bed. 3 course meal in the function was good and tasty. Breakfast was also good, although a bit of a slow moving queue for a cooked breakfast. Service was very good. Check out was the same method, not a bad experience overall

Google says this is air conditioned but please note it is not. Rooms are small but nice. TV huge and works. Staff excellent. Hotel very good. Parking easy. Check in automated and easy. Starbucks in reception a bonus. Really liked the mugs they provided for tea and coffee. Are some weird noises at night, rumbling noises no idea what they are.

Stayed for one night in October and we’re disappointed firstly by the lack of menu options but then when it came to going to bed we saw a stain on the bed, thinking it was the sheets, but instead it was a mattress protector covered in period blood and old urine stains!! We maybe wouldn’t have noticed but the sheets were thin enough to see right through. Not only this but the bathrooms hadn’t been properly cleaned, finding pubic hairs behind the door. We’ve stayed in the one in Manchester but we definitely won’t be in Cardiff! Don’t recommend, go to a nice one or an independent hotel instead. (By the way, I’m a housekeeper so I know it should’ve been cleaned)

Used to love coming to this hotel regularly for a night away for relax etc. Stayed here last night, it was okay but has gone down hill. Long queues at the bar for one. Early close at the bar and early close for rooms service. There used to be a lovely 3 course menu. This has been replaced with burger menu or salad bowls at £16 a go. The food we ordered was nice and cooked well. However, I was disappointed as we expect to have a special meal. Again breakfast used to be of a high standard. I was disappointed again, with not very good scrambled (no other choices) cheap sausages. Certainly not the standard that we have experienced in the past. Overall it was an okay night.. could be alot better though.
