Danescourt Post Office cardiff

It is my grandchildrens' favourite shop. All those lovely pick and mixes.

The woman who works behind the counter is extremely rude and never fails to make me feel uncomfortable. She barely speaks to me and doesn't even look at me when she does. She'll see that I'm there but will either be talking to her friends in the shop or will be on the phone and is in no rush to serve anyone. When you go in to post something she acts as though you've asked her to a heinous task. I genuinely would rather travel into town and use the post office there than walk 5 minutes to here.

The quoted opening time of 8:00am is inaccurate - try more like 9:00 if the owner feels like it, sometimes later. Sometimes she won't open at all and will leave a hand written paper note on the shutter simply saying "closed today" (but reading that at 8:30am on a Tuesday you wouldn't know if that sign is for today or was left over from the day before! Reiterating what several other reviews have said, the owner can be quite miserable and very often distracted by phone calls, ongoing conversations with customers or restocking shelves. I'm all for supporting local businesses and services, but this place doesn't help itself!

It's OK does the job expected but not a good service with a happy smile

The woman behind the counter was more interested in talking to her friend on the phone than actually serving her customers. She didnt say a word to me whilst she served me, but just carried on talking on the phone. Really rude!

Tracey is a lovely lady and always likes to welcome her customers in to the shop for a chat. Don't listen to other reviews on here. They are bitter and twisted. Tracey goes out of her way to look after her regular customers. Can't fault her service at all.
