From the receptionist, to the nurses, phlebotimists and GP''s, I cannot fault this practice. They all really care, give a first class service every time and Dr McLeod is an absolute gem.

As a mother of a small baby I can't praise this surgery enough. My baby was seen before her birth was even registered, let alone registered with the practice. Excellent care at what was a worrying time.

Receptionist staff got my appointment wrong and then sat and argued with me about it. Absolutely shocking behaviour. You'd expect no less from the playground!

Had a great experience last week in regards to calling for an appointment for my daughter whom was seriously ill back in 2017 with sepsis and strep throat which landed her in icu in an induced coma. Anyhoo today I spoke with the lovely Kirsty from reception whom got her a same day telephone consultation with Dr MCloud and straight away he put her on antibiotics not taking any chances. As it turns out was the same infection that landed her in hospital the first time round. So just want to say a big thank you to Kirsty and dr mccloud for getting my daughter better. Kind regards.

While the Practice is run by very clearly hard working staff, and the Practice Nurses are extremely knowledgeable and proficient in their craft, making for an overall pleasant patient experience, it must be said that some of the GP doctors have got less than ideal "bedside mamner" when dealing with patients. It is not sufficient for a doctor to only be skilled, or hold years of experience. How they treat and deal with their Patients is just as important, making them feel at ease and to know they are important. Thankfully this is only the case with some, and not all. Additionally, for a Practice serving the growing village of East Calder, the facility itself is very much showing its age, and could really do with a wholesale refurbishment, if not an entire new build.

This surgery is functioning well in this difficult time. Consulting by telephone is not ideal but adequate and gets you to the next stage if required. Staff are extremely friendly and conscientious.

Been using this surgery for 30 years: utterly fantastic every time. Can't believe the negative comment on here. Reception always helpful, polite. Doc McLeod is superb. Practice nurse should be on the honours list.
