The water of Leith has its own history it was a rail way track at one point but now it is use as a walk way for all sorts of people from people who jog to people who take there dogs for a walk to a bike riding to even on horse back you can go fishing as well and people do bird watching so it is just a great place just to calm down after a stressful week at work at the weekend what a lovely place the Walker of Leith is

Great place to start your Walk of Leith if you don’t have a car. We got the 34 bus from the centre of town to Slateford Station (great value) which is then only a short walk to the Visitor Centre. Welcomed by a very nice young volunteer and there were a few snacks and cakes on offer with access to toilet facilities. We walked the 7 miles to Port of Leith which takes in some varied and interesting woodland and town walking. Would highly recommend.

Sat outside for a coffee on a bike ride, coffee was from a machine, not the best considering how easy it is these days to find a decent cup.
