Came across this place after a rugby match which typically meant we were starving and desperate for anywhere that could take us. The service was slow, food was average but very expensive! Three of us had water, one shared starter between us and mains and the bill was over £70- £11.75 was just for three tiny portions of rice- wow! Considering the quality of food we were quite surprised and felt it was far too overpriced for what you get. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for value for money.

I visited this place with my husband a week ago, I usually don’t leave bad reviews but even after a week, the kind of behaviour one of the staff (ponytail guy) showed was nagging me and forced me to leave this review. The food was Ok but the kind of service we got was the worst we ever got from anywhere, this specific guy served us as if he is doing a favour to us as if we are having food for free. The annoyance and hostility was prominent in his manner. I am not sure what his issue was? There are heaps of GOOD restaurants in the area with really good service. I advise to all tourists to go somewhere else and completely AVOID this place.

Good indian food, but staff is quite unfriendly. They do not make you feel welcome. A simple smile when receiving the order would actually make a world of a difference

Walked all the way from Edinburgh castle to Kasturi restaurant. It was worth the time. Food was good and service was quick. Luckily there were not many people. The ambience is great. They have a nice bar. A little overpriced though.
