Disgusting! Green, hard, old chips in all three of our suppers today. Why are you using potato les that are green?? They shouldn’t be consumed at all! I don’t know why I keep giving this place another chance! Used to be good but not anymore. All of it went straight in the bin, will never be back , just revolting

Declined my perfectly working card with no explanation, took ages to get the food ready, sent me out the shop to use cash machine very rude. Been going since the 70s it's nowhere near as good and so expensive with the worst attitude from a staff who looked about ten years old. So rude! When it was a problem with their machine. Never going again.

Had to try fish and chips in Scotland. And we weren't disappointed. Very nice fish and chips (nice and juicy fish). Don't forget the sauce! The haloumi fries were also delicious. It is takeaway with only a few sitting places, but you can sit next-door if you want.

The fish and chips were pretty good and the service friendly and the store clean but I'm not sure how this place has won so many awards. Apparently among the best fish & chips in Edinburgh? Prices i think are a little high and they need more variety of fish than just haddock and some other seafood options. Why not make the onion rings and fries in-house for example. Some key factors for the Times newspaper to consider for judging before calling these guys amongst the best.

It’s happened again. I ordered a battered sausage supper and a pickled egg with ketchup in the corner. I was the only person in the shop. 10 mins later it was ready. I checked the contents of the box - no pickled egg, and no ketchup. I was told “sorry we didn’t charge you for the pickled egg”. This was then added and charged. The young lad then picked up the ketchup and was about to start splashing ketchup all over the supper when a command of “stop” was given by myself. I repeated my request for ketchup in the corner. It seems a simple sausage supper from the only customer in the shop is too tough for this unit. Sadly, this is the 2nd time this has happened.
