I visited this place post reading reviews on google. Expectations were high in the sky so I went empty stomach. However , I was surprised by the delicacy which is termed as Kebab but looks like medium chunks of chicken pieces boiled with some spices. On top of that it was served with a pitta bread. Entire serving was too cold which suppressed the taste even further. I feel they should bother to warm the food before serving as this kind of food doesn't taste well when cold.

This is a jewel of Edinburgh. We had just traveled up from Manchester and we were quite hungry. Someone recommended Kebab Mahal to us. I was a little susceptible upon arrival. After eating the food though, i am a believer. The food was fantastic and the service was very pleasant. The proudly display their awards on the wall, which they should. Parking is a little difficult but you can find parking a few streets away and walk down, it is worth it.

Vegetarian side dish portions were too small for £4.50. Also, there were only the owner and one extra waiter serving customers. This was insufficient for the (busy) lunch time and service took a bit too long. They should hire extra staff. Decent place otherwise.

Don't be fooled by the interior, this is not just one of the best curry houses in Edinburgh but quite possibly in Britain. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh which had been slow cooked with tender pieces of lamb and lovely fresh fragrant flavours. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Was probably my first ever kebab experience way back in the day. I always visit when I'm in the area. Most food made to order. Well worth the wait. Best chilli sauce ever.

One of the worst places to get food from. No taste just extra colour to make food look good. Owner's son has no manners to talk to the customers thinks very high of him self as a chef but have no basic knowledge about Asian food attanticity. Tried it couple of times and on each occasion ended up with upset stomach. Highly recommend think twice before going to this place.
