The Jazz Bar edinburgh

Proper jazz. And by that I mean brilliant virtuoso musicians playing songs you've never heard of. Excellent musicianship. Staff very good. Drinks good value. £6 entry, which was well worth it.

Jazz ahh how we dance... So I am going to tell you my perception is colored that I am particular about my jazz. This Place I think is a fine evening with friends and hearing something a little outside of traditional songs in the downtown. I think it's a great friendly place and you will definitely find a few friends if you haven't brought your own.

Really nice place. When we arrived was almost midnight and was little bit full , no tables availables but after that everything was really nice. A jazz band really good, nice people around. The staff very friendly and polite even when they had to suffered some drunk guys.. Really cool place and nice vibes.

If you like Jazz just go there. It has all the character of old cellar jazz bars without the layers of smoke. ... reflective sigh...lost count of the great times I have had there.

A must-visit for any jazz fan. Live music every night. Well worth a visit, and a good place to sit and have a quiet chat. A very good date spot, if you appreciate good music.

Intimate underground venue. Paid £10 entry (Wed's, free before 730) great bands, drinks were about average, £5-6 a pint, £7 for a large wine, cocktails £9-10. Open late. Highly recommended even if you're not going for the jazz

Saw hot tin roof - amazing guitarist and singers, also some amazing dancers. Cool little underground club. Worth a visit

Full evening of music till the wee hours. Great that you can get a wide range of hot and cold drinks all night. Great atmosphere.

Love the Jazz Bar, but a crowded basement venu with people not wearing masks is not okay with Omicron on the rise. We have to do better. I didn't stay, for the record.

Really friendly staff and reasonable prices. Great music.
