Extremely disappointed with the service I received from the Manager at the service department of this dealership. I was referred by another dealership to have the car looked at and fixed under the Vauxhall warranty. Upon collection I was charged £65, even thought they hadn't yet found out what was wrong, and told if I wanted it resolved or to avoid the charge I'd have to pay over £200 to check it back in again for more investigations. Shocking considering it's under warranty. I explained I'd had the car for 6 weeks, and had been sent by another garage and was still under their warranty too so even if theres a charge they would cover it. After a lengthy discussion was told that regardless I'd have to pay the fee, which I did. Went back to original dealership and they immediately reimbursed me, but said normally when they refer someone that Evans Halshaw branch charge it back to them so they cover the payment and the customer isn't out of pocket. They were as confused as I was that I'd been charged directly! After this I went back to question why they'd done this to me if there's already a process in place. I'd explained throughout my booking that I'd been referred but they were determined to get money from me (even though they've since said they do have that process?!) No trust in this branch or brand whatsoever. Front of house team tried their best, very polite and empathetic, just a shame management were so persistent to charge me even though it's clear they were wrong. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.
