I had a lovely and easy experience at Big Yellow Self Storage in Edinburgh. The staff were very friendly, in particular Gill. Gill was extremely helpful and made the whole experience stress free. I would highly recommend this service!

All staff (Gill and Marta - sorry if I've got that wrong!) were really helpful. The process was made very easy and I was reassured by the security they have on site should I need to make an out of hours visit.

Had to resort to this storage when COVID started. What's worse, I had to do it over the phone since I already bolted. Still, everything was manageable. All papers to sign had to be sent, printed, scanned, and sent back, just took a lot of time from a friend who delivered my things to storage. From there, everything became pretty much automated. Essentially, you register a room, register your details (including bank details), deliver your things, sign papers, then the standing order for each month pays automatically. Only things you shouldn't lose is the room #, padlock key, and pin code. Only way this storage can go wrong is you being irresponsible with your details, because it's otherwise reliable, manageable, and simple. All my things were as I left them, nothing went missing, and I got to keep the padlock. HIGHLY recommended.

The process was very straight forward from reservation to check in. Although the check in function online had a little glitch that did not allow me to complete the check in,Nathan at the storage facility was very accomodating and performed this in person instead. Nathan explained all the procedures in detail and clearly which made the process of moving one that little bit easier!

Friendly, helpful staff and straightforward setup! Easily accessible from the center via bus.
