This is a fabulous small bookshop at Holy Corner in Edinburgh. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. A couple of years ago I saw a theatrical performance of Homer's Iliad and dropped into the shop wondering if they had a copy. After an inspiring discussion about different translations, within two days I was sitting on the comfy sofa reading and comparing two versions so I could choose one. Sterling service. It's so important to support local bookshops like this rather than the online empire.

Never buying books from Amazon again, I'd much rather support this absolute gem. The owner is knowledgeable, friendly, and overall delightful. The shop is cozy, good selection of books, and you can order the ones they don't have on shelf.
